Hi, I'm new to this site and would like some info on the prints I have on this artist. The prints are of the Napoleonic Wars. I have a few and are in good condition except for small waterstains on one of the corners. Sizes are 10x14. Some titles are: la battagolia di Marengo,1800; Napoleone alla battaglia di Abukir,1798; un gruppo di feriti alla battaglia della Moscova,1812 and battle of the pyramids,1798, Austerlitz,1805 and di Lodi,1796
Also a french print 4.5x6-1903 by Nagan(I think). What would the value of these be if any?

    Thanks, Walt

    hi walt,

sounds like you have an interesting series of prints there.

Louis-Francais Lejeune was a French General in the Revolutionary and Napolionic Wars period (1790-1815) as well as being an artist.

he made scetches during his battles and his first hand experiences helped him produce pictures that were famous for their realism.

... do you know how old your items are? any chance you can upload a picture or two?
do the pictures look like they are printed in color? or have they been hand colored?

i ask as age is going to be a factor.

for starters i've found an item similar to what you have for sale here

Passage du Rhin by Louis-Francais Lejeune

that website is selling that item for 44euros which is around $48 and theirs is from 1893
