Original, hand-colored copperplate engravings from John Wilkes' Encyclopedia Londinensis. Engraved by J. Pass, after paintings by M.E. Bloch. Each approximately 5.5" X 8.5". Binding edges ragged. Light to moderate overall browning; would benefit from proper paper restoration/conservation.

Am I asking a reasonable price for the below? I based it on this: http://tinyurl.com/3hqqan9

it's hard to tell from your pics ...

i'm a bit concerned by your comment

"would benefit from proper paper restoration/conservation."

as removal of browning from hand colored engravings is very difficult and expensive.

however the price doesn't seem unreasonable, especially the trout, however it's hard to know for sure especially with a short time window for selling.

Thanks! I actually cut the reserves in half yesterday to (hopefully) stimulate bidding. The aging is normal, I think. I just wanted to indicate that the paper isn't as white as my phone's LED flash made it seem.

yes, ebay can be tricky, a lot of stuff doesn't sell at all and then other times a print sells for much more than you would expect!
